Supervisor, CBT Center

Responsibilities include supervising psychology and psychiatry residents in CBT; liaising with out-patient clinic; providing cognitive behavior therapy, primarily for individuals with PTSD following terrorist attacks, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

                     Clinical psychologist, out patient and in patient departments. Clinical responsibilities included intake assessments, providing individual cognitive behavior therapy for anxiety disorders, depression (out-patients) and PTSD and self -injury following CSA (in-patients).

 

1990/1992   Maudsley and Bethlem Royal Hospitals, London, UK

Trainee clinical psychologist – British Psychological Society approved training. Two years of internship that included one year of adult mental health, focusing on CBT in primary care, in and out patients. Patients treated included PTSD, OCD, and depression.  In addition, training in assessing neuropsychological functioning in adults; assessing and treating children with mental handicap; assessment and treatment in children’s out-patient department.

 

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

 

1994 - present  Center for Traumatic Stress, Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem,  Researcher,  Research in PTSD. Responsibilities include all stages of planning and executing large scale prospective study: recruiting subjects to research; interviewing them (SCID & CAPS); writing up of results; statistical analysis; writing academic papers.

 

1992 – 1993      Institute of Psychiatry, University of London. Conducted study on PTSD in crime victims interviewed subjects, statistical analysis, writing up of results.
